When it comes to enjoying the water in kayak, I've always been more of a flat water kind of guy; however when your friends host one of the rowdiest white water kayaking tournaments in the world you can't help but join in on the hype.

The North Fork of the Payette River is a force to be reckoned with, boasting 15 continuos miles of class 5 rapids, and the few who dare to tame it put on a show worth driving 8 hours to watch. After experiencing the event for my very first time in 2017, it's safe to say that I will be making the trek out to Idaho on a yearly basis for years to come. There's just nothing else like this around!
